The Canmore Nordic Centre is host to an ever growing number of exceptional biking trails, and is regularly home to various biking events and races.

Cross Country Skiers
Cross Country Skiers are treated to the Canmore Nordic Centre, site of the Nordic event of the 1988 Olympics. With 22 million dollars in recent upgrades and the successful hosting of the 2006 World Cup Cross Country Ski Events, skiers will have some of the best amenities in the world for their recreational use.

A considerable number of groomed and ungroomed ski trails can be found throughout the various surrounding parks and wild areas, for those with a taste for the wilderness.

Diana Lake LodgeBackcountry
Backcountry Huts and Cabins are scattered throughout the backcountry and are widely used by the more adventurous, for both summer and winter outings. Backcountry alpine skiers often use these cabins as a base, or some just ski in to relax. For those who are all about the decent, many heli-skiing lodges are found a little deeper in the mountains, with luxury accommodation and perfect deep powder on a daily basis.

Scenery is a dramatic and important aspect to life in Canmore and Banff, and attracts artists of all types to immortalize their impression of this god-graced land.
